FROM AIT YOUL TO TAGDILT VIA BAB N´ALI
The planned Jebel Saghro National Park is a 2700m high pre-Sahara mountain range inhabited by the Ait Atta and Ait Sedrat tribes, essentially nomadic Berbers as well as sedentary families in the few areas where the presence of water enables crops to be grown. At the end of summer, the nomads travel from the High Atlas ranges to these mountains in search of pastures to feed their flocks of sheep and camels. On this trek, we travel through an area with an extraordinarily beautiful geology that makes it different from other mountain ranges; a harsh land that is intensely cold in winter and extremely hot in summer, little water, poor roads and inhabitants with an extremely low level of material development.
