NORTH-SOUTH CROSSING OF THE M´GOUN MASSIF |

| From the impressive stone buildings in Megdaz to the mud architecture in the Valley of Roses, this is a trek through the diversity of the Cental Atlas. We begin with a trek from the Tessaut Valley to the stunning Uandras gorge, which we visit the next day. The third day, after climbing a 3200 m high pass, we reach the Terkeddit alpine plain. An early start (4:30am) is needed for those who decide to climb up to the M´goun summit, while the rest of the group begins later, taking a mule track to Tiggitine, where we all meet up. We spend the fifth night at a family home in Ameskar. From this village we continue on to Boutaghrar through the Agouti gorges. We spend the last day traversing the Valley of Roses to Kasbah Itran in El Kelaa Mgouna. |  |

| TREKKING LEVELS:You do not have to be an expert mountaineer, but you must be in good physical shape and, most importantly, have a willing spirit. Mules are used to carry the equipment, while travellers walk for 7 or 8 hours, stopping for lunch at midday. EQUIPMENT should be reduced to a minimum and split up as follows: BACKPACK OR LARGE BAG: To be carried by mules on the trekking days.It will contain our hiking material,sleeping bag,etc. + DAY PACK:Carried by each person on the journey and the trekking routes.
