The Roses Valley: a walk to the south face of the M´Goun
The inhabitants of the Atlas and the surrounding valleys are famous for their admirable adaptation to the difficult conditions of their lands. On the scarce tillable ground, they harvest barley and wheat in june and maize in october. Their small fields are surrounded by groves of pomegranates, walnut, fig and almond trees. Everything is based on an irrigated terrace system fed by a complex water channelling system.
Day 1. MARRAKECH
Pick-up at Marrakech airport and transfer to Riad Dar Marhaba, in the heart of the Medina, just 3 minutes walk from the famous Jamaa el Fna.

Day 2. MARRAKECH / EL KELAA MGOUNA
At 9:00 we gather in the Riad to prepare to go to Kasbah Itran in the Kelaa Mgouna, the “capital” of the Valley of the Roses. We cross the mountain pass of Tizin Tiska, about 2300 meters of height and we will turn off of the main highway to visit the Telouet Kasbah.
Lodging: Kasbah Itran.
Meals: breakfast and dinner.
Day 3. KASBAH ITRAN / ALEMDOUM
In the morning we cross the Valley of the Roses by vehicle to head towards the village of Hadida. From here we begin our trek through the fertile valleys of the Mgoun river to get to the village of Boutagrah (1620 meters). Upon arrival, we continue by the Talkadit river crossing the gorges of Agouti to arrive at Alemdoum (1770 meters) where we will set up camp.

Day 4. ALEMDOUM / AMESKAR
From Alemdoum we rise to the Asselda lake (2316 meters) to get to the hill that has the same name located 2487 meters. From here we descend to the mountain village of Ameskar-Amajial (2110 meters).
Lodging: Gite d´etap, family house simply equipped to receive tourists.
Meals: all.
Day 5. AMESKAR / TINVIAN
We descend until we reach the locality of Ameskar-Amazdar (2000 meters) and from here we ascend the hill of Touchar (2510 meters) to descend to the hidden village of Tinvian (2195 meters).
Lodging: Tents.
Meals: all.
Day 6. TINVIAN / TIMGALLOUNA
We leave Tinvian through Imi-n-Tinvian, gorges that hardly ever has running water on the surface. We cross an establishment of nomadic families to arrive at the beginning of the gorges of the Mgoun river at 1697 meters. From here we proceed to the locality of Timgallouna (1654 meters) where we will meet for transport to go to Kasbah Itran.

Day 7. Transfer Kasbah Itran - Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech airport.
Meals: breakfast.

This program can be personalized according to the necessities of each group, for example, stay in Marrakech can be shortened or the transfer can be amended by the client. The duration of trekking or the stay in Kasbah Itran can be extended or also be reduced.
